Mixing this with a dark lyrical and melodic sense, he dubbed it \u2018Gothic Blues\u2019, a sound close to the murder ballad tradition. Since then Ledfoot has released 5 solo-albums (his fourth one \u2013 \u201cWhite Crow\u201d \u2013 was awarded with the Norwegian Grammy for \u2018Best Blues Album of 2019\u2019) and toured the whole of Europe many times. He opened live for Bob Dylan (during his \u201cOh Mercy\u201d-tour), Crowded House and Chris Isaak, and was covered by Bruce Springsteen (the \u201cHigh Hopes\u201d-title track). In 2020 he released the more melodic duo-album \u201cA Death Divine\u201d with the Norwegian guitarist Ronni Le Tekro, and in 2021 his latest cd\/lp \u201cBlack Valley\u201d saw the light. His new album \u201cCoffin Nails\u201d contains 10 brand new tracks, all full-on analogue direct to tape recordings, in the spirit of the old blues tradition.
