Mixing this with a dark lyrical and melodic sense, he dubbed it ‘Gothic Blues’, a sound close to the murder ballad tradition. Since then Ledfoot has released 5 solo-albums (his fourth one – “White Crow” – was awarded with the Norwegian Grammy for ‘Best Blues Album of 2019’) and toured the whole of Europe many times. He opened live for Bob Dylan (during his “Oh Mercy”-tour), Crowded House and Chris Isaak, and was covered by Bruce Springsteen (the “High Hopes”-title track). In 2020 he released the more melodic duo-album “A Death Divine” with the Norwegian guitarist Ronni Le Tekro, and in 2021 his latest cd/lp “Black Valley” saw the light. His new album “Coffin Nails” contains 10 brand new tracks, all full-on analogue direct to tape recordings, in the spirit of the old blues tradition. Tim: “This album was recorded and mixed in two days… live… straight to tape… no edits, no punching in… just me… honest for better or worse… honesty.. what a precious thing!”. So, there’s no bullshit here, just a unique artist, spitting out his soul in the most naked and real setting possible.
